Written by Jon-Michael Foshee

Have you put off applying for 2022 – 2023 college scholarships until the last minute? Looking to supplement your existing college scholarships to cover all or most of your tuition costs? Chicago Devotion has you covered.

As with any account created on any website, any sweepstakes you choose to enter, or any possible subscription programs you may choose to sign up for, please make sure to read all the terms and conditions and rules that you will be bound by if you choose to sign up for or enter these programs.

Chicago Devotion is dedicated to bringing you hard-to-find, useful information to help you improve your daily lives and achieve your dreams. We are not affiliated with any of these programs, and will not receive any compensation from these programs or any college scholarships if you choose to click through and sign up for or enter any of these opportunities.

In all cases, the winners of these college scholarships will not be paid directly. Any scholarship awards will always be paid to the financial aid office of the winner’s academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition (depending on the school’s requirements).

All college scholarships below are organized by deadline (soonest to latest) and are in no particular order.

At Bold.org, we believe that the world will be shaped by the bold—the fighters, the risk-takers, the earnest overachievers who won’t take no for an answer—the ones who know that a mountain is climbed a step at a time.

Bold.org is built for students, like you, who are determined to make the climb.

As you join the Bold.org platform, you get the opportunity to showcase your goals, achievements, and drive to scholarship panels via your student profile. The $25,000 “Be Bold” Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile.

To us, boldest does not mean “best”, or “most accomplished,” being bold means being:

  • Earnest
  • Determined
  • Moving

The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose profile is most bold, according to these characteristics.

Furthermore, this scholarship will be similar to the many easy scholarships available on Bold.org in that it will favor students who apply earlier—who are bold and seize the day without procrastinating.

While the scholarship will be awarded on November 30, 2022, the scholarship will have rolling monthly application deadlines. Students applying within earlier application windows will have a greater chance of winning the award. Students at any education level, school, field of study, and GPA will be considered.

Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship – College Award by Virtasant, Inc.

  • Scholarship Value: $2,500
  • Awards Available: 1 winner every six months
  • Award Deadline: July 4, 2022
  • Winner Announced: July 19, 2022

Per the Virtasant, Inc., application page on Bold.org:

Right now, Black and Latinx people only make up around 5% – 8% of the tech workforce. Women account for a mere 1 in every four tech jobs. For Native Americans and Indigenous groups, employment numbers are even lower, at around 1% at leading tech companies. These numbers reflect an improvement over the last few years, but this is not nearly enough.

The tech industry sets out to serve a remarkably diverse world. To accomplish this, the industry itself has to reflect that world. At Virtasant, we understand the need to embrace fresh perspectives, probe unexamined problems, and tap into unique ideas. We want to support the innovative minds that represent the groups and communities that are still getting left behind in tech.

To achieve this mission, we created the Future Leaders in Technology scholarship for students from these communities, who are pursuing careers in tech.

The scholarship includes a $2,500 award to one college or university junior or senior student.

The scholarship is open to college and university students pursuing a degree in computer science, electrical engineering or data science. You must also be a member of an underrepresented group, including: Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, American Indian or Native American, LGBTQA+, and Women.
