NBA star Derrick Rose started the Rose Scholars scholarship program in hope to inspire students to be creative, put in some work, chase dreams, change the world, and make it better. The 2018 program was open to high school sophomore, junior, and senior students who were civically minded and have an instinct to lead. The application deadline was September 30, 2018, and the scholarship program is now closed.
