We are happy you are interested in volunteering with Chicago Devotion!
As a volunteer at Chicago Devotion, you will have the opportunity to help in ways such as:
- Providing for the poor;
- Assisting others in regaining their dignity and basic fundamental human rights;
- Working for those who seek to achieve their version of the American Dream; and
- Learning / Teaching the moral value of work.
You have the opportunity to enhance your personal and professional skills and perhaps gain valuable experience that will help you in life’s endeavors. We strive to provide you with a positive experience and recognition. In return, we expect you to honor your commitments, respect others, and perform your assigned duties to the best of your abilities.
As a volunteer, you will be required to complete the Company Volunteer Application and provide emergency contact information. Specific programs may also require supplemental forms. If you are participating as a volunteer in a one-time event, you will need to fill out the Special Event Volunteer Contact Sheet, providing us with your contact information and emergency contact information.
Most ongoing long-term volunteer positions require an interview with the Chicago Devotion staff member who will be supervising you. Interviews help volunteers clarify the responsibilities of the opportunity and help supervisors decide if the prospective volunteer is a good fit. If you are participating as a volunteer in a one-time event, then an interview before the event may not be necessary.
Please fill out the Volunteer Form below and you will be contacted by a Chicago Devotion Volunteer Representative to discuss your opportunities.
Group Volunteers: Chicago Devotion accepts one-time volunteer service from groups. In these instances, the Special Event Volunteer Contact Sheet is used in lieu of the formal company application, and no interview is required. Youth may participate in one-time group volunteering activities with the permission and supervision of their leaders. Group leaders assume responsibility for obtaining any necessary parent/guardian permission. Group Volunteers may contact a Chicago Devotion Volunteer Representative for more information.
